zc_science: Took me a while, but I found it. Your marker is in the river.

Laurel: Found it. Added.

Next update should hopefully be within a week, so you both will be there.

KSMarksPsych: With all due respect, I believe the red "B" for TFFE would likely belong to Keith Stanley, correct?

There are multiple project team founders. But it doesn't matter. I guess I misunderstood what you meant by founder.

And I clicked View in Google Maps. Duh. I see it when I actually look at the right thing.

KSMarksPsych: My bad. I should have been clearer. I know many teams have different "founders" on different projects, depending on who gets there first, but my intention was for the original, overall founder of a team to get the red icon.

Dex: Oops.

Anyone familiar with Google

Anyone familiar with Google Earth and wishing to customize their locations and labels can email me a .kmz file as an attachment for inclusion. Send it to bcboinc (-at-) fandom.ca

Thanks for making the effort to do this, Raven. I've never been that good with geography, so when someone mentions where they're from I'm usually at a loss - this is way cool!

Do you know, off hand, what percentage of the total number of active crunchers are now on the map?

I'm not completely familiar with Google Earth yet, but I think I can figure out how to skootch my marker over a little bit to where I usually do my rollerblading :)

Should we just check weekly for updates, or will you bump this thread occasionally to mention how many new users are on the map? (Good thread to sticky?)

You're welcome.

Probably infinitesimally small. As it is, not all active crunchers read the forums on projects they join.

I intend to announce it, both on the projects I currently have threads about this on and on the GE board itself.

Hi Raven – I remembered

Hi Raven – I remembered this thread, don't know if it's helpful, since these folks may not be aware of your project. It also might be helpful to post threads on the Science and Cruncher's Corner boards, since not all crunchers visit the Cafe...

Found the city easy enough, but didn't see a roundabout with a fountain in it. (Or is this a British term for the roundabout that's built as an overpass?)

There is a roundabout over the main A3 trunk road, but the Fountain roundabout is 1/4 mile north at the junction of the High street. There is a small water fountain in the middle and a pub to one side called the Fountain Hotel. Actually either will do!
