It would be nice if the dates and times shown in the task lists on this website could be shown in a time zone that the user can select (perhaps in the user account's preferences) rather than only in UTC. Of course it is not a major effort to convert the times into local times but it would be nice to have.
I often use the task lists to monitor progress and to make sure things are going well or not (since Windows often has its own ideas about the important things that a PC must do) so when scanning through the task lists I need to keep making time zone conversions to work out when any particular task would have been running.
(Of course this could have been avoided entirely if the HTML time tag could have provided the ability to present times in the user's local time zone and preferred format but the W3C missed the boat with that one. I mean how often does one see something on the Internet like "the event will happen at 10/06/23 12:10 PM Eastern standard time" and one is left wondering (a) if that is just after midnight or noon (this does actually cause some confusion - my wife nearly missed a flight last year because of this), (b) if the event is in June or October and (c) when is that in my time zone and is it even the same day? If the HTML time tag were able to provide the necessary conversions and if it were used in such a case then we'd have one less problem.)
