A Technical News column (like the one SETI has) were current outage or tech troubles could be found would quickly, be nice. (As opposed to searching thru a whole bunch of theads and hope that you're in the right one.)

RE: A Technical News column

pault – I read in a thread authored by one of the member’s of E@H they were planning to incorporate a more extended “Technical News column”, but presently everyone is relying on the “index/homepage” for official E@H News and Happenings.
Just a side note, since I’ve been with E@H (18 July 05), there has been zero hours of down time.

I am not sure of the date, but there has been down time for the project.
You can always check the server status page. And it would seem that any tech related news could be posted with the general news updates on the main page. Are there really enough posts about tech issues to warrant a new page?

mrwizer – I guess, I can’t say for certain either, but I really don’t remember experiencing any E@H down time; I could be wrong on the grounds that I’m in a different hemisphere (time zone) than Berkley and The University of Wisconsin, and I would assume that equipment repairs and maintenance would be done while it late at night here (+11 hours EST).
However, I did couldn’t find anything posted by E@H personnel on the home/link page or this link or this generally informative
link, but I have only only checked back as far as the 18th of July, this year. This assumes that the E@H would post any expected or unexpected down times.
