It would be a boost to user satisfaction if the graphics somehow showed the interesting results found by clients. I supposed they could be called "hits". Then if any come to fruition through further lab analysis perhaps "confirmed" results could be shown also.

This is somewhat impossible. The feature we are looking for is not local. You are scanning the sky like pixel by pixel of a TV image, an you only come to recognize features when the whole scan is finished. You don't know if a pixel is the brightest one when you are come across the pixel, you need the whole scan to spot it.

understandable. But isn't there ANY way to document the progress? e.g. on Seti@Home Classic they have a map with signal candidates (http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/bestcands.html) and a very good explanaiton about the background and what we calculate (http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/learnmore.html).
