OK back to free speech here since I tricked all the mods here to chase a cuss word into the Large Hadron Collider and are now stuck in the CMS detector Cool

You're welcome

Whoa, that's a dark matter! ;)
As long as there are no moderators (at least until CMS engineers clear the system), what say we rev up a discussion on the role of religion driving the agenda of U.S. political parties as it pertains to the upcoming fake election and the corona virus conspiracy? Cuss words welcome! Did I miss any talking points?Tongue Out

Ha, love it! I have a couple Manhattan Transfer vinyl albums tucked away somewhere. I need to buy a turntable.

Re COVID-19 Scare... This is NOT a conspiracy; it is a SCARE campaign.

1. The virus is real and it is dangerous...but so is influenza which has killed thousands of times more people worldwide this year than COVID-19.

2. As long as you practice safe hygiene and seek medical attention when necessary you are in minimal danger.

3. The COVID-19 virus was NOT manufactured in some secret lab (whether in China or elsewhere). It is a relative/descendant/mutation of the SARS virus with approximately 80% genetic match.

4. Remember the SARS virus scare (2002-2003)? It was going to wipe out everybody on earth, right? Well, I'm still here and will be after the COVID-19 scare runs its course.

*sigh* I see my attempt at

*sigh* I see my attempt at farcical humor missed its mark. Or maybe it's too soon to poke fun at covid conspiracy theory wing-nuts. To be clear, it was not my intention to suggest that the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic is anything other than a very serious public health issue. Soooo, how 'bout them gravitational wave events?

The wife will do anything to

The wife will do anything to keep me from going to the bowling alley every monday morning.

I call it my own atom collisions at a slower speeds.

But I do use my own ball and shoes and we probably won't have many other people there in the morning since they are all home counting their rolls of toilet paper

There was an interesting item on the car radio this morning.  A major supermarket chain has released stats on TP sales.  In the last 2 weeks, approx 18 months worth of normal supply has been sold.  Crazy stuff!!  Shelves seem to be permanently empty so maybe there'll be some TP burglaries from those who missed out? Surprised

Perhaps you could use them as 10-pins when people need to unload the excess? Smile

Cheers,
Gary.

I saw a thing the other day asking why people in the US don't use Bidetsand stop using TP altogether?!

When I was in the Service a long time ago I went to ALOT of bars and used the bathroom in most of them, Greece used wax paper type TP and that was the WORST!!! Lots of places had a hole in the floor of a porcelin base with ridgy places for your feet, you leaned  against the back wall and did your stuff and then washed your hands and left.  You would be SURPRISED by how  many people in this World do NOT wash their hands AFTER they go!!! Lots of people wash before but not after they go with some saying I know where my parts have been and then of course stick their hand out to shake yours. Some of those  won't be here after various health problems like this but since Karma is fickle and not predictable their will be plenty left!!

My wifes cousins mom is in the hospital and the daughter has no time to go to the store and when she took a minute they were out of TP, I sent her 24 rolls by UPS that will get there this week and 8 packs of wipes thru Amazon that got there yesterday! 3 women in the house, 1 who's in the  hospital, 1 who's in their keeping her company 12 hours a day and 1 who can't figure out what day it is or even fix her own food. People are nuts with their hoarding!!

I think the toilet roll

I think the toilet roll splurge is a poor reflection upon this Age Of Information. I think it was Mark Twain who said that if you don't read newspapers you are uninformed, but if you read newspapers you are misinformed.

{ Or something like that, but I could be ill-informed here. }

Sadly a deeper point may well be lost : while there are way too many of us on this planet, then we will live in large groupings and that creates the perfect storm for these replicators. Such illnesses will become more and not less common.

Hang on, I can hear Charles Darwin knocking on the door ..... muttering something about sieves & herd instincts. ;-)

{ Plus you can't fix stupid ..... }

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

As to that report from China

As to that report from China that the Virus was developed by the US military, that is a minor translation error.  The virus, SARS, MERS, Corona, was developed, but not by the US military, but to be used upon the US military and it escaped from the lab by accident.  There now we all know!  :-)

On a more serious note, I just had to cancel a bunch of meetings of a fraternal lodge that I chair.  Not a happy thing to do, but prudent, especially as government officials are closing bars and restaurants in my area.  No reason to thumb the nose at them.

Stay healthy.

The healthy win.

<ed1>Thought Route 66 was right for thread 66.

<ed2>Just how much TP can a person stuff in their restroom?  I mean, give me a break buying multiple 60 roll packs?!  Even janitorial places won't go through that much in a month.  And water?  The municipal water is still going to come out of your tap.  And it won't be filled with plastics like the bottled water will.  I get it if you are building an earthquake kit, there the pipes will be broken, but not for a virus!

<ed3>Could these virus be attempts by mother nature to suppress humans and hence reduce the rate of CO2 burn and thus AGW?
