Maybe we could make comedy Non-discovery Pulsar Free Zone certificates, in black of course, for folks who have cleared say the equivalent of a million star neighbourhood of pulsars. The more you clear the bigger the black dot.
I must admit that I somewhat like the idea, although feasibility is questionable.

The idea sort of came from looking at one of my favourite pages Status Page BRP4 Detail which I like to expand to fill the monitor screen. and wondering how work units are shown on that page, and wondering at what resolution my contribution had made a red pixel´s or two worth.
While I'm mainly doing Einstein to score some WuPROP badges, I would definitely stick around longer if we had some badges here. Just kind of a neat kudo for dedicating the machine time to it.
I agree, +1 for badges. It may seem silly for some of the long time crunchers, or to the long gone crunchers, but it will only help the project overall. Even for me, I have been on Einstein since 2008, I would enjoy chasing a badge.
Milkyway has added badges, SETI has a badge, WCG has badges and PG has badges. So many of the long running projects with very high participation have badges and it helps gain the project interest. With the ever increasing computing power available, the worry about the old crunchers that are no longer crunching that would get a badge, is not that big of a deal as newer crunchers with much faster machines would be able to run them down.
Honestly, it is a win win to me. I will stay with this project no matter what, but it would make it more fun to chase some badges while I try to land a discovery certificate.
I'm happy without badges :) I'm also happy gazing in awe and admiration at other people's badges. LONG would both continue if Einstein introduces them :) I'd recommend I'm never given one however. Having finally crunched at a speed fast enough to earn one on another project, within moments of it popping up under my username... things over there kind of... broke a bit. Probably unrelated *beam reassuringly at everyone* but would it be worth taking the risk? :)
