I'd like more support for team building. At present the team creator gets to see everyone's email address, but if s/he chooses not to get in touch there is nothing anyone else can do to start building the team.
Two suggestions.
1. A team message board for every team, but visible only to members of that team. I do not know how hard it would be to add that facilty to the current message boards, but if it is not too hard this would be the best way to provide every team with its own team building tool. Maybe it could appear automatically in the list of message boards, or alternatively there could be a link to the team board from the team page.
2. An option so that contributors to the project could release their email address to memebers of the same team. On listing the members of most teams I'd only see the info that is currently available, but on listing the members of my own team I'd see the email addresses of those members who had agreed for this limited release. Team creator would still get to see every member's email.
Teams are an important factor in maintaining motivation for this kind of project, and I would suggest that the small effort involved in providing either form of contact would be repaid in the improved retention of donors.

I agree. There is definitely a need for more support for team building, not only for E@H, but also for other BOINC projects. At a minimum, it should be possible to contact the founder of the team in one way or another. Without this it is impossible to co-ordinate any team recruting.
Another potential problem for teams is if the team founder withdraws from the project, then who can update and manage the team? It would be neat if the founder could appoint trusted members as "co-founders" with the same administrative rights as the founder. This can help to ensure continuity in team efforts.
