Well I have a USB stick but have no idea how to get Win7 AND all 2,015 Windows Updates on it or I would like having that laying around (the only USB stick I have is around some where but don't remember how much it holds and I used to use that for a certain satellite receiver I had a few years ago)
It takes an 8gb usb stick and some effort, I made one a long time ago but it does not have all the updates on it. Installing only takes about 30 minutes though instead of the more normal 60ish minutes. Google is your friend for exactly how to do it.

As usual after all those hours it took to get it running again I try to leave the room for a while.........go back and check......it shut down.......then I remember it has to be that stupid power setting that has them shut down after about 5 minutes.........so I set it to NEVER shut down and go to sleep.
I get back up today and check it......shut down again......so I look around the power settings again and find some damn advanced setting I don't remember and set that to NEVER.....haven't went back upstairs yet to look.
And just to make it worse when that one shuts down another one next to it shuts down because they both use the 850 watt PSU so I can run the 660Ti in one and the 650Ti in the other with just the video card plugged in.
So another 12 hours went by with no crunching from those two
I too go in and change the Advanced power settings and set them to never power down, to never use the screen saver, and to run at max power. Most of my pc's are Boinc only pc's so what's the point of having them shut down?

All 6 of mine are Boinc crunchers and they never get to rest unless the power goes out!
Windows should have the exact opposite setting at the beginning instead of having to tell it not to shut down.
If somebody wanted their pc OFF they would hit the power button and turn it OFF.
Well I did the reboot after another 27 updates but still didn't get that Win10 icon for this one.

As long as you have done the right update, from March, it can take a day or so sometimes, there are some other prerequisite updates that you must do first, so it may pop up soon as one of another batch of updates. Some people are seeing it in the 'optional' section and some in the 'critical' section.

Yeah I always check what the updates are and last check it didn't have any updates.
BUT this morning that bleeping thing is frozen up again after all those hours.
It figures.
I may have to install a .50 caliber hollow point into it later today

I HATE when you think you've got everything going your way and BOOM a wrench is thrown in and nothing works right for a bit! For the last few months most of my pc's have been working just fine, at the end of last month 6 of them decided to not like the routine monthly spyware and a/v checks I do on them and they crashed! It took me 3 hours to get them all back up and running again, but I finally got them all going and everything is humming along until the next time the wrench comes along! Of course each pc had a different problem so none of them had the same solution!
Whereas, U-Verse also gives us a dedicated and true MeTV channel that shows EVERYTHING! :-) The dedicated channel is on East coast time; however, so, if they say that a show will air at 7 PM, it will be 4 PM for me here in California.
Sometimes, I'll catch Svengoolie on Saturdays at 7 PM - PDT. He hosts the old "B" Horror movies. I used to catch him locally in the Chicago area when I was in Junior High. MeTV must have picked him up after we moved to CA.
MeTV's "home" channel is one of the digital sub-channels of WCIU in Chicago, the same one Sven has always... no, wait, he used to work for WFLD, didn't he? That's Fox now. Anyway, they were already showing this old stuff, and using Central time, when they became a network. That's when they switched to using Eastern time. Since it's a local channel, I get it on two channels on U-verse.
I actually don't watch Me that much, though. MASH, always. Emergency! used to be an always, but after seeing them all several times I quit recording it. They're showing all the end-of-series 2-parters this week. They were running Star Trek during the day for a few months, but now that I'm off for the summer and can watch it, it's off for the summer too. Once in a while, I'll watch a Hogan's Heroes or a Perry Mason.
MASH was a really well-written show, but they never intended for it to be syndicated and run over and over and over and over and over... Some of its details don't hold up. For instance, in the beginning, Hawkeye was from Vermont and had a mom and a sister there. Later, they had a summer home in Maine. In the last few years, Maine was his only home and he was an only child whose mother died when he was 10. At first, Henry's wife was Mildred, but later she was Lorraine. Then Potter's wife was Mildred. The first time Major Freedman appeared, his first name was Milton. They even reused a couple of plots, and a lot of jokes.

That's more like the one on the other end of the train I've been student conductor on the last couple of Sundays. I'm learning, but I'm not ready to qualify yet. This week, while the electric train was out on the road, the steam engine developed a pinhole leak in a pipe and they had to cancel our last trip and put it to bed. Easy to fix, but not under pressure. The good news is that another steam engine may be running by next year.

I think we need to repair that silly "User of the day" time tunnel sweepstakes since it reminds me of how Seti Classic would pick people that had only ran one task and quit and then made "User of the day" a few years later (like today here)
Been harping about that for years. I don't know, if a trouble ticket has ever been opened over at the Boinc Dev forum, but maybe it is time to bring it up again. At least set the pointer at a RAC greater than 1.
