I think we need to repair that silly "User of the day" time tunnel sweepstakes since it reminds me of how Seti Classic would pick people that had only ran one task and quit and then made "User of the day" a few years later (like today here)
According to the Admin Slicker over at Collatz it's based on someone tweaking their Profile, everyone that tweaks their profile is put into the pool and then someone is randomly chosen. He said it's built into Boinc Server that way, so I don't know if Einstein is using an older version or is tweaking it themselves, or what exactly.
But yes that old way of everyone that ever signed up being eligible is silly!!

There was a story years ago of a test pilot barrel rolling a 7?7 during a test flight and the engineer telling him to never do that again!
All new plane models are tested by the FAA doing a 'tail drag maneuver' that actually involves the test pilot pulling back on the yoke so violently that the tail of the plane drags on the runway before it finally lifts off into the air. The idea being no matter how bad you screw up the takeoff the plane can still fly. The tail drags the runway for around a hundred feet in the test, so you KNOW it is dragging!
