Well the current UOTD has got to be a Boinc/Seti Classic record.

Ummm someone we all know, you, did this on their Seti Classic stats:
Completed Seti Classic Workunits 14,117
Seti Classic CPU hours 89,585
CPU hours per Seti Classic WU 6.346
While I did this:
Completed Seti Classic Workunits 62,118
Seti Classic CPU hours 383,036
CPU hours per Seti Classic WU 6.166
HOW did you get that much at Seti Classic???
Hell I had a PIII 500 with almost no Ram and quit running Seti in 2004 when LHC and then Einstein started.
But anyway my post was about the guy who just got User of the Day HERE with that

....and I have a bit more than that here.
Makes no sense that members who quit here several years ago with basically no work done getting the Einstein User of the Day
Not that I need one but I bet we have actual crunchers here that never have.
And there are several of the members that have to get credits in all 10 million Boinc projects and get hundreds of the UOTD that also seems a bit silly.
I actually worked for all of mine.
I haven't even checked Seti for over a decade.
(that reminds me......many years ago I loaded Boinc and Seti on my mechanics pc while he was working on my Jag so after he moved to Idaho it was still running for a while but he finally turned it off so those are the only Seti credits I got since something like December 2004 so once in a while I checked there when he emailed me about something since he was a pc rookie)
Scroll down the link page for the full video. Poetry.
Outstanding ! Mind you it was probably way stripped down internally, light on fuel, throttle through the firewall etc. But still a treat. Where'd who go ?? :-) :-)

Hell I had a PIII 500 with almost no Ram and quit running Seti in 2004 when LHC and then Einstein started.
I started with 1 pc and ended up with more than 3 running Seti before Boinc came along. It was the start of MANY more pc's to come. I am down to only 15 physical pc's running here at my home right now, not counting the various tablets and phones that don't crunch. I even have a Server running because I found out that after you have 23 pc's running on the same network they fight over ip addresses and end up using ones that are already in use, a Server solves that problem as it is in charge of who gets what ip address.
I also found out that when the outlet plates get hot to the touch it's time to call in an electrician!! No fire for me, just several fried outlets and switches, they physically broke apart from the heat. You can run 6 pc's with gpu's in them on a 15amp circuit, but if you plug in a 7th pc and try to start it the whole circuit blows. I now have several 20 amp circuits for most of my pc's and it is working just fine.
Does that mean to imply you are a single millionaire? Wooo you better watch out Hillary and Bernie Sanders are going to be coming for you and you money, you 'upper cruster' you!
Whereas, U-Verse also gives us a dedicated and true MeTV channel that shows EVERYTHING! :-) The dedicated channel is on East coast time; however, so, if they say that a show will air at 7 PM, it will be 4 PM for me here in California.
Sometimes, I'll catch Svengoolie on Saturdays at 7 PM - PDT. He hosts the old "B" Horror movies. I used to catch him locally in the Chicago area when I was in Junior High. MeTV must have picked him up after we moved to CA.
MeTV's "home" channel is one of the digital sub-channels of WCIU in Chicago, the same one Sven has always... no, wait, he used to work for WFLD, didn't he? That's Fox now. Anyway, they were already showing this old stuff, and using Central time, when they became a network. That's when they switched to using Eastern time. Since it's a local channel, I get it on two channels on U-verse.
I actually don't watch Me that much, though. MASH, always. Emergency! used to be an always, but after seeing them all several times I quit recording it. They're showing all the end-of-series 2-parters this week. They were running Star Trek during the day for a few months, but now that I'm off for the summer and can watch it, it's off for the summer too. Once in a while, I'll watch a Hogan's Heroes or a Perry Mason.
MASH was a really well-written show, but they never intended for it to be syndicated and run over and over and over and over and over... Some of its details don't hold up. For instance, in the beginning, Hawkeye was from Vermont and had a mom and a sister there. Later, they had a summer home in Maine. In the last few years, Maine was his only home and he was an only child whose mother died when he was 10. At first, Henry's wife was Mildred, but later she was Lorraine. Then Potter's wife was Mildred. The first time Major Freedman appeared, his first name was Milton. They even reused a couple of plots, and a lot of jokes.
For me, MeTV is channel 136, (same by you, David, I think), and the local affiliate that runs some MeTV shows is KOFY - TV 20. YES!!!! WFLD ran Sven when I was in Junior High!!!
Star Trek is still on Saturday's at 9 PM Eastern, 6 PM for me. Wonder Woman is on before that, and Batman, before that. After Trek is Sven, then Lost in Space, and Voyage to the bottom of the sea. (I used to have the flying sub model, and a model of Seaview in the mid 70's.)

I didn't start adding new computers until 2003 after I finished building the house we live in now (same property since 1984) and that was when I first had a dual-core and I soon found out it is better if you go through them and replace the cheap parts they give you stock since I had a couple CPU fans die which of course means your CPU is cooked.
After that I started getting quad-cores and doing the usual adding of Ram and then PSU's and GPU's and 7 is the most I ever had counting this laptop.
And the wife complains enough about the ones I have so the only upgrades will be after one of mine burns a CPU (been years since that has happened......knock on circuit board)
I did find out what you mentioned when the other day I was rebooting the 5 I have on the same circuit all at the same time and when I started to boot the #5 it blew the breaker (I actually made an outlet for the main with a GFCI so it will maybe be safer when I am not watching it)
So since then I make sure the first 4 are booted and running and THEN fire up #5 since it is all because of those PSU's and GPU's I added to these beasts.
Now as far as Billary Clinton or Bernie Sanders .....well these clowns would bother me if I was a youngster but I retired many years ago so they can't take any income taxes from me and I get the discount on property taxes here so it is closer to what it should be......and I never vote for those phony clowns but then you know I live in WA State and can tell my votes are always a waste of time (so I mail them in) and none of my local clowns got a vote from me and the same goes for the new "laws" we have here.
All the stuff I have is paid for so if you added all that up......not quite a multi and I gave up on that unless the price of silver goes up to $1000 an ounce (of course I am the only one on the planet knows how much I have)
I'm always amused when any politician runs the 'politics of envy' line. Fat cats calling themselves thin alas. Always a vote winner and never makes a scrap of difference. It gets re-branded and run every generation or so to scoop up any fresh Pie In The Sky susceptibles. The rich are quite mobile and so simply move out of jurisdiction, thus any wealth transfer happens between the very people that voted for it. The scam is discovered, ceases, time passes and then we are due for another shy at it. Perhaps certain offshore havens run up a candidate of this type from time to time in order to refresh their local affluent populations ..... Cayman Islands rule ! :-) :-)
Now here's a quirk of the modern IT nation that we are. We get a fax from the local hospitals to tell us when one of our clinic patients has given birth to a child. Nice to know. Keeps us in the loop. However in recent months the happy event has been diagnostically classified as 'unqualified child'.
This I feel is putting to much of a burden on our younger generation. Is tuition in the womb going to be a growth industry ??? :-) :-)
Cheers, Mike.
